About
I am a multidisciplinary artist exploring the boundaries between observation, intuition, and the search for meaning. My work spans abstract expression, figurative painting, and landscapes — often moving fluidly between them — as I follow questions about perception, identity, and presence.
I came to painting through drawing, and I return to it constantly. Whether sketching a street corner in ink, shaping a figure in oil, or building layers of marks in an abstract field, I am always looking — for rhythm, for tension, for quiet. Many of my pieces are built slowly, revised, scraped, or reworked until the image feels alive and internally resolved.
Much of my recent practice has focused on daily sketching, life drawing, plein air painting, and studio challenges that push material boundaries and compositional clarity. I work with charcoal, gouache, acrylic, ink, and oil, often in mixed-media combinations. My figurative work leans into symbolism and psychological weight, while my abstract work gives space to gesture and uncertainty — a kind of structured improvisation.
I’m currently in the middle of a multi-year journey to deepen my skills, share my work, and build a sustainable art practice. This site documents that ongoing process — part portfolio, part studio wall, part invitation.
